Course Description

As energy codes become more stringent, especially with the introduction of the Energy Step Code, builders are looking to existing and advancing technologies to build high-performance homes.  This month's Builders' Breakfast Series seminar will examine Structural Insulated Panels Systems (SIPS) and Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) as an advanced wall system alternative to traditional stick-frame construction to increase efficiencies in production time, costing and energy performance.

From learning the basic 'what is SIPS' and its possible applications in the local marketplace, to demonstrating air- and vapour-barrier performance and best practices, this seminar will provide builders with a clear understanding on the benefits and 'how-tos' when using SIPS in residential construction.
